Lower your gazeA soft blur over people on screen, and adult sites blocked

A calm aid for people who choose to lower their gaze. Sakinah covers people in images and videos with a soft blur, by your choice: women, men or everyone. It also blocks adult sites. All of it happens on your device, and nothing leaves it.

We are working on this feature now, and it is not out yet. It will arrive as an update to Sakinah itself, in the extension and the apps, with no new install.

What “Lower your gaze” does

Covers people

You choose who is covered: women, men or everyone. People get a soft blur; the rest of the page stays as it is.

Blocks adult sites

Known adult sites are blocked automatically. If a page like that does show, all of it is blurred.

All on your device

Sakinah checks what is on screen on your device only. It does not recognise faces or identify anyone.

Nothing leaves your device

Images and results are never sent anywhere, and none of them are kept.

How will it work?

In the same extension and apps, next to “Remove music”.

    Turn on “Lower your gaze”

    From the Sakinah window, with one switch.

    Choose who is covered

    Women, men or everyone. If you prefer to be careful, an option covers each person until Sakinah is sure.

    Browse as usual

    People are softly blurred as you browse and watch, and adult sites are blocked.

Honestly

Sakinah may miss some people, or cover something you didn’t mean. If you notice a mistake, tell us with “Report a problem” in the app, or on the contact page.

What you see stays with you

As with “Remove music”, everything happens on your device.

  • What is on screen is checked on your device only; images and results are never sent anywhere
  • No image is kept, apart from temporary memory that is cleared right away
  • No face recognition, and no identifying anyone
  • No account, no ads, no tracking

  • It judges no one and no content; it is a personal tool that changes only what you see.
  • It hides nothing from other people, and it sends nothing to anyone.
  • It is not a parental-control tool, and it is not a guarantee.
